Finding swimwear which fits and flatters can be a challenge. However, when it comes to dressing for the pool or beach, we particularly shouldn’t settle for attire which doesn’t do us justice. Why is it, that we spend hours – sometimes longer – trying on, shopping around and asking advice on our clothes but when it comes to that annual purchase of swimwear, it gets rushed? Swimwear for Broad Shoulders and Slim Hips?

If you’re boy-shaped, then you can wear any type of swimwear. However, to create some curves there are a couple of tricks. Halterneck tops will make your shoulders seem broader, but take care to ensure this is balanced out with briefs which tie at each side. As for patterns, go for detailing around the bust or a busy pattern.

There’s a great choice of gel-filled bikini tops now which will immediately create a more hour-glass figure. Go for high legged swimsuits or bikini bottoms – this will add length to your thigh. Stay away from side tie bikini bottoms as this will just accentuate your hips. Small patterns will also make you look bigger – so if you must wear it, wear it on your top half.
