Daytime

Take a selection of t-shirts, shorts and vest tops for in the daytime; canvas shorts are usually a good choice as they’re breathable but look smart too. Great if you’re going out for lunch and don’t want to get changed.
Now, a few shorts and t-shirts might be ideal for a relaxing sun holiday, but if you’re going trekking or doing any serious sightseeing you might need something more substantial. Choose lightweight cargo trousers that are comfortable enough for every day.
Don’t forget that a choice of shoes is important, you’ll need at least two or three pairs for daywear including sandals, trainers or hiking boots (depending on your holiday) and a smarter pair like boat shoes.
Evening
When it comes to evenings on holiday you want to be a bit dressed up but you still need to be comfortable. Go for short sleeve shirts, comfortable cotton trousers and smart shoes for the perfect evening outfit.
If you want something more casual then change your shoes to something more boat-shoe or loafer shaped, and opt for either linen trousers or a linen shirt.
Don’t forget to take a light summer jacket in case it gets a little cooler in the evenings. Depending on the local climate it could be worth taking a couple of warmer outfits like jeans, long sleeve shirts and lightweight jumpers.
The perfect suitcase includes plenty of mix and match items, like shirts that can be worn with smart trousers, or over a t-shirt with shorts. This way you can wear layers and you can adapt your outfit to the weather or occasion. Layers are a perfect choice if you wear big men’s fashion as they offer a slimming look.
